Item was not as expected however I feel this was more so my fault for choosing the wrong item! This was bought for detaching tags from my bedding as I use them to keep the bedding and sheets in place. This item is far too strong and not practical for this use. I will be returning.

My wife volunteers at a local charity shop and unfortunately everything that can be tagged, has to be tagged. I ordered this so that they could have one de-tagger per till and rather naively offered to install it for them. Installation should be an easy task, the kit comes with 2 different length installation screws. Now to the important bit - DO NOT, under any circumstances allow anything metallic that doesn't need to be there anywhere near this magnet because you will be trying to work it free for a very long time. And that begins the story of me trying to remove a washer and a thin key chain from a 25000G magnet. I found that in the end a very strong and sharp knife did the trick. In summary - this is not cheap, however it is recommended for commercial use and is extremely strong and capable. Easily the strongest magnet I have come across and more powerful than the de-tagger the shop already had installed.

This magnet is super duper strong . The magnet part is a flat circle in the centre of a raised convex area. This means that any small metal object that sticks to it is virtually impossible to remove - such as the washers supplied with the magnet. I accidentally tipped the bag out onto the magnet and there is no way to get it off, as usually with super strong magnets you would slide the metal off to remove it, but as this has a raised cone around it, it isn't possible to remove it this way. Top tip - keep the hardware supplied with the magnet far away from it!
